ARC. TOKUNBO FOWODE 

Olatokunbo Ayodele was born on 2nd February, 1959 to the Fowode family of Isoyin in Ijebu North-East Local Government of Ogun State. The young Tokunbo attended Ijebu-Ode Grammar School between 1971 and 1975 and finished in the Division I grade at the WASC examinations. He proceeded to the Federal Government College, Warri in September 1975 and passed the Advanced G.C.E (three principal papers) in June 1977. The quest for further education further took Ayodele to the University of Lagos between 1977 and 1983 from where he obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Environmental Studies and Environmental Design (Architecture) respectively.

A registered Architect, Fowode’s working experienced is vast. As a corp member, he worked with Pan-Afrique Architects and planners, Yaba, Lagos between 1981 and 1982. Olatokunbo Ayodele Fowode began his lecturing career as lecturer III in the Department of Architecture, Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta in 1985.

Arc. Fowode has served the Polytechnic in various capacities since he joined its service. He was the Head, Department of Architecture, Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta from 1987 to 1998; director, School of Engineering & Environmental Studies between 1993 and 1998; Director, Consultancy Services, MAPOLY from 1998 to 2003. He was also the Acting Rector of the Polytechnic in February, 1998. Between May 2003 and 2006, Fowode became a substantive Deputy Rector.

Obviously out of satisfactory performance, he was chosen among other people who were short-listed and interviewed for the exalted position of the Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta in May 2006, the position he occupies till date.

A chartered Architect by profession and sits on the council of the Nigerian Institute Of Architects (NIA) and was Chairman NIA (Ogun State Chapter) between 2003 to 2008. He is also a member of the Construction Industries Arbitrators. He has designed and supervised numerous projects for private individuals, corporate bodies, local government and state governments.

He is a recipient of many awards including:

Ø  Abeokuta Junior Chambers (JCI) Outstanding Young Person - 1985

Ø  UNESCO Ambassador for Peace -2006

Ø  NIPR (Ogun State) Most Friendly PR Chief Executive – 2008

He belongs to the Egbe Bobakeye Akile of Ijebuland, Abeokuta Sports Club and UNILAG Alumni.

Architect Olatokunbo Ayodele Fowode is married with children.

 





MR. AKINOLA OLUYEMI OLUMIDE

Mr. Akinola Oluyemi Olumide succeeds Major A. B. Badmos as the 4th Registrar of the Polytechnic. Mr. Olumide started his administrative career with Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta as Administrative Officer II in 1981 and rose to become the Deputy Registrar in August 1995. Mr. Olumide, over this period has manned virtually all the strategic and key sections/units of the Registry of the institution. He has also served as scribe to the Government Council for over fourteen years. The new Registrar has served the Polytechnic at various committee Levels for both the Governing Council and Management.

Mr. Olumide Attended UNA Church Primary School, Oyingbo, Lagos. African Church Grammar School, Abeokuta. The Polytechnic, Ibadan and University of Ibadan between 1963 and 1983. Olumide is a member of many professional bodies including Institute of Personnel Management and Nigeria Institute of Management.

He is married with children




Mr Bolaji Adeosun- Polytechnic Librarian

Mr. Bolaji Adeosun who until his appointment the acting Polytechnic Librarian succeeds.

Mrs. C. O. Ogunseinde who retired from the Polytechnic in 2003. Mr. Bola Adeosun, the third Polytechnic Librarian was born on the 30th January 1957 in Ipokia the Headquarters of Ipokia Local Government of Ogun State. He joined the service of the Polytechnic as Assistant Lecturer in 1984 and later moved to the library as Senior Librarian in 1992 until his appointment. Bola Adeosun was the AG. Polytechnic Librarian.

 

Adepsun attended University of Lagos between 1978 and 1981 where he bagged B. A Hons. in History. University of Ibadan for Masters in Library Studies MLS between 1990-1992 and between 1993-1995. Adeosun returned to the same University for Masters in Industrial and Labour Relations (MILR). He holds certificate in computer from Kay Computer School, Abeokuta and South West Resource Centre, Abeokuta
